The program, for the provinces of Limburg, Noord-Brabant and Zeeland, focuses on innovative SMEs and strengthening cooperation between business, knowledge institutions and governments. It focuses on five major societal transitions: energy, climate, raw materials, agriculture & nutrition and health.

EFRO East Innovation project

Market-oriented innovation, at an earlier stage of product development. Collaboration must consist of at least 3 partners, at least 1 SME. (max 750k)

EFRO East Demonstration project

For projects that contribute to smart and sustainable economic development. Goal is to use test or demonstration projects (TRL 6-8) to accelerate market introduction of products or services. Collaboration must consist of at least 2 partners, at least 1 SME. (max 1mln).
